Hi, I'm Max, a student at IU's Kelley School of Business. Crimson Lots started with a simple observation: parking near Memorial Stadium is miserable, and it doesn't have to be.

If you tried to park near the stadium last season, you know how it goes. The official lots sell out before most fans can buy them. The free garages fill hours early. So people end up circling the neighborhoods, late and frustrated, hoping the spot they found is one they're actually allowed to use. A few blocks away, plenty of driveways sit empty all afternoon.

Last summer I ran a College Works Painting branch here in Indiana. I managed a crew, carried real commercial insurance, and learned firsthand what it takes to work on someone's property and be trusted with it. That is the standard I try to hold Crimson Lots to.

The model is straightforward. I meet homeowners near the stadium in person and, in writing, license their driveway for game days. They are paid up front for every game, and my insurance covers their property. Then I offer those spots to fans who would rather reserve ahead and walk a few minutes than gamble their Saturday on finding something. There is an attendant at every lot, usually me, and my number is on every pass.

My goals are simple. Pay my way through school doing something real. Give fans a game day that starts calm instead of stressful. Keep the parking money in the neighborhood it comes from. And build something in Bloomington worth keeping around after I graduate.
